From the initial visit to your event, The Cordelle Team maintains it’s goal of creating the “perfect downtown Nashville event venue”, offering support and encouragement as clients explore their own personalized creativity.

The Cordelle opened its historic, arched doorway in 2014, under the stewardship of co-owners Leigh Watson, Nealy Glenn and Chandra Watson, longtime friends and creative entrepreneurs who shared a vision for creating the perfect downtown Nashville event venue.

Initial inspiration for the space grew out of Leigh Watson’s own wedding-planning frustrations. The goal to find a downtown Nashville wedding venue with luxury, charm and flexibility… and one that had availability less than a year away, this proved a nearly impossible challenge. That experience highlighted a need in the Nashville event venue landscape and the three partners set out to create what they felt was missing.

After acquiring and renovating a late-1800s property in downtown Nashville’s Rutledge Hill, The Cordelle team launched the Nashville event venue with a specific intent: to offer clients an appropriately elegant and inviting space for weddings, corporate retreats and other special events. Offering flexibility to customize a unique vision and “white-glove” service from a locally based team that ensures the realization of that vision.

The balancing act of bringing creative ideas together with on-the-ground execution finds a comfortable fit with The Cordelle management team, whose lengthy creative careers — Glenn as an actor and filmmaker, the Watson’s as musicians — have demanded the same set of skills.
